Hello hello!
After a rough couple of days, I had to get out of the city. Anywhere, anything.
I packed myself a little lunch and forced myself out the door.
I headed down for the peninsula and let the road signs guide me.
Ended up at Arthurs Seat – sensational.
Driving up windy hills used to scare the shit out of me. Now I enjoy the thrill.
That sounds a bit morbid haha but I would prefer the adrenaline and risk to feeling depressed.
Y’all miiiight remember the photos from my trip to the Atherton Tablelands a few months ago… If you follow me on insta. This lookout gave me that energy.

There is a chairlift that takes you up to the peak, but I don’t really like heights.
HEHE I was trying to set the phone up to take a timer pic and a nice traveler offered to take my photo.

I turned it into a photoshoot haha.

I’m laughing so much at the audacity – that estrogen is rising.
He was probably thinking …. why …..

As I was arriving in town, it was pretty cold and I was just happy to be there but not really prepared.
As the afternoon went on, it warmed up and the sun came out.
I forget how much I love the peninsula and I wish I’d packed an overnight bag and stayed. There is so much to see.

I spent a few hours at Portsea, I finished reading Lost Connections by Johann Hari – highly recommend – and started putting a bit of a plan into place for what’s next. I’m at the helm and it’s up to me to direct my life.
Side note – when I’m feeling directionless, it’s the optimal time for me to set a new habit because I don’t care for anything, so if my only food option is salad, I will eat it and then remember how much I love salad and continue to eat salads lol.

I made a last minute decision to go to the Peninsula Hot Springs.
As it was a same-day booking, there was a 10% surcharge, but I used the mid week promo code ‘heart’ and got a discount.
The Hot Springs are incredible. Highly recommend.

Being on a budget, I wasn’t sure whether I should go or not.. But I’m really glad I did. After a few hours bathing, I felt so relaxed. The kind of feeling you get post massage. My muscles were wobbly and I didn’t want to drive home. Lucky there’s a bed in my car!
Thinking about it, I paid $60 and spent 2 and a half hours there. I think you can spend as long as you want. This is more value for money than a massage and you won’t sore muscles the next day, if you’re like me and your muscles are unreasonably tight.

It’s so funny because I’m just so unashamedly sure of myself these days, that I want to capture all of the moments. I don’t want to miss a thing – I feel sad for the times I didn’t take photos because I was so insecure.
So, enjoy my online gallery :’)
Also the other funny thing is, I get some great and silly pictures using timer that I would never get if I were travelling with someone because I’d still be embarrassed to ask them to take a photo for me.

Okay pop off, this is the kind of gym I’m going to

This is just me fangirling over this place, but it really is beautiful, peaceful and water healing.
I am not really a fan of cold, but after soaking in the 36-40 degrees baths, dipping my feet in the 19-20 degree pool was refreshing.
You won’t catch me plunging in there though because I am afraid of catching a cold haha.

Oh and I saved the best until last!!
You guys know I love a good outdoor shower.

I had a really nice, unexpected, relaxing day. I am really pleased and definitely recommend putting this one on your Melbourne bucket list.
