Howdy!
Thank you India Safaris for the comment on my previous post, I got very excited :’)
I haven’t felt the desire to write much lately, because I am expressing myself everyday. I have someone to talk to. Funny how company (and lack of) has that effect.
But the person you’re talking to has their own universe in their head and sometimes you don’t quite express all that you wanted to, or you get sideswept into their tangent and never get back on topic. That thing where having company all the time is kind of distracting from your route.

I’m well and truly into luteal and I haven’t noticed the onslaught like I usually do. Definitely felt the emotional slump after I ovulated, but I think having the energy of the water around me all the time is really helping. I warned Glenn profusely of my mood swings, but I haven’t felt them. He’s been preparing to lock himself in his side of the boat (I have the kitchen side), but it hasn’t come to that yet.
I’m also very very relaxed. It’s incredible, I used to always say I’M NOT STRESSED and I wasn’t, I was chronically stressed. LOL.
We finally left the Gold Coast, but haven’t ventured far yet. I’m getting jack of the rain and overcast days if I wanted this weather I would have stayed in Tassie…

Living outside is great, until the weather turns and you’re literally stuck with what you’ve got. The boat is spacious for sure, but I just want to sit outside and not be cold. We can’t really duck into shore for a change of scenery without getting wet either.
Let’s recap the last few weeks.
We did a big shop.
A biiiig shop.

We are essentially holding supermarket quotas of rice and crackers.
It seems exuberant, but if we arrive at a remote island and want to stay for more than a few days, we will be sorted for food.
We got some cute battery-operated candles for ~ambience~

and fairy lights for my bedroom

The boat is like the Arc. We have ducks that keep an eye on the boat while we go to shore, swans come up for a feed (if I have leftovers) and dolphins come to play at sunset!!!

Since we left the calmness of the river, our anchorages have been a tiiiny bit rough. You don’t really notice until you see my bag swinging away on the hook.
The gentle rocking is nice and relaxing, especially when you have a full tummy and you’re lying down. The other night, we had opposing wind and current so we were getting bashed around a bit and it woke me up. Not so good. Also not good when you get up for the toilet in the night and it’s rocking around. The walls lean over to meet you.

I bought so many DVDs (chick-flicks ofc) and books at the op shop before I came on board. I plan on swapping the books out at street libraries as we go.
I recently read What Happens in Dubai and Soapsuds.
Both books were fun for company, but I feel like they went way off topic (as per blurb).
Like, the author plants a plot seed then seems to forget about it?? Honestly, in Soapsuds it felt like the author thought this would be a good move! No wait, now this! Without fleshing the plot out properly.
Anyway, if you want book reviews you can check out my Goodreads.
Over and out xx
